Milestone

Buying a phone turned out to be a blessing in disguised after I went through a lot of hassles to buy Google Nexus One from Google Webstore. Eventually, it is destined for me to own a Milestone, the one I really one. The name does not only represented a milestone shift to Android for Motorola, but also a milestone for me to own my first smart phone. P1040939Wei Zhu and Kerel demanded a review, well this post is dedicated to them. If you want the specification of this phone, head over (here).

Loving the screen, loving the keyboard, loving the Android OS, loving the apps, loving the speaker, loving the quality of build. There is a hassle to migrate to Android if you did not sort your Google Contact correctly as there will be more rubbish than people inside your contact list later. If I wanted to complain the phone, I will complain the camera. The picture quality is hideous, I would prefer WeiZhu’s phone than this. 5MP is nothing. Well nuff said, I enclosed some picture below for your viewing pleasure. If you want to try this, meet me up.. See ya!

GOOGLE, TOTAL FAILURE!

nexus-one-1

Now I am posting as one of the unlucky customer of Google Phone Web Store. The story started when I ordered my phone on 6th January which is slightly later than the launching of Nexus One. However, until now I am yet to receive this phone. In 3 more days, I might be celebrating Happy 1 Month-versary of waiting a phone.

Every corporation might look good from outside thanks to professional branding but instead its inside its as ugly worms chewing off its inner core. Google set up a Web Store to sell its first phone from HTC and expecting to combat Apple’s IPhone. As the leading technology company Google is a laughing stock when the Web Store come with absolute frustrated support. You can only post on forum and log report to them while waiting for their staff to email you. Mind you this might take forever to get their reply, I waited for almost a week for a staff to reply my mail.

After a month in operation, I think they just realized they forgot to setup a proper support system. Check this out Vacancy at Google. They just starting to hire support manager for their store.

I do not know what happen to my phone. Tomorrow I might file a dispute against Google for failing to deliver as per request and buy a new phone before CNY as my current phone is failing. Its my fault to order the phone anxiously, next time if I wanted to buy another phone from Google, I will wait for the support to fully function first.

Motorola Milestone / Droid (CDMA Version in USA) has launched in Asia this afternoon (21 December 2009) at Hong Kong with the pricetag of HKD 4680, relatively cheaper price offered by Expansys HK (product link).

Another great news is this baby will be officially launching in the next country in Asia which is Malaysia at 1st January 2010. Let’s hope the price will be same as HKD 4680 which is cheaper than HTC Hero official price.
