Must have for Music Lovers
Music is a part of our life no matter where we are, what we do or how we felt. From live music to vinyl recordings, from tape to MP3, technologies change how we enjoy music. In the last 5 years, interesting ideas that make used of the Internet added some spices for the music lovers. I would like to introduce 3 applications that I used daily.
Shazam
I was introduced to Shazam (spell: Sherrrr – ZeeAM!) by my best friend BLim. Have you ever encountered songs that you love but could not recognize the title? Shazam is very helpful here. It is available on most major smartphone such as IPhone, Blackberry… What it does is, it samples a chunk of the song and send it to the server for identifications.It identifies correctly almost every songs I encountered so far even there are people talking on the foreground (like from drama).

Last FM
Last FM is an audio scrobbler. To operate Last FM, get an account and install its plugins to music player. Every songs you are listening will be scrobble and send to the server for records. In a long while, it will recognize the music you like and recommend you some similar song. Or you can view what songs your friends are listening. And also see the history of musics you listened to. Besides, Last FM also comes with radio which randomly play radio of similar artist through streaming.

Grooveshark
Searching for free songs? Grooveshark is here. It streams songs. Search Grooveshark for any song you want. Without the need of downloading it. Song quality is great. No application needed, all you need is a browser with Adobe Flash. Lastly, IT IS FREE. What more can I say?
